Thank you for booking with Daryl Crimp’s Footprints on Africa (FOA). Because we are securing exclusive lodges and permits in Africa well in advance, our suppliers require strict financial commitments. Please read these terms carefully. By paying your deposit invoice, you acknowledge and accept these conditions.
Inclusions/Exclusions: Please note that your quoted trip price is for the ground tour only, which officially commences in Nairobi. International and domestic airfares, entry visas, gratuities (tipping), and any required overnight transit accommodation are not included in this price..
Deposit Due Now: A 20% non-refundable deposit is now due. (Your initial $1,000 holding payment has already been deducted from your accompanying Xero deposit invoice).
Final Balance Due: The remaining 80% balance will be due 130 days prior to our departure date.
Potential 2027 Pricing Adjustments: Please note that the current safari cost is an estimate based on current rates. When your final balance invoice is issued at 130-days, it may be adjusted to account for:
Fluctuations in the NZD/USD exchange rate. While not anticipated, unforeseen increases in African government taxes, park and conservation fees, or fuel levies.
If you do cancel your trip, you must notify FOA in writing. Because we are bound by the strict cancellation policies of our African operators, the following penalty fees will apply based on when we receive your notice in writing:
131 Days or more before departure: Loss of your 20% deposit.
130 to 31 Days before departure: i.e. if you cancel after the balance is paid, 20% penalty. (Your 20% deposit is retained but your 80% final balance is refunded).
30 to 21 Days before departure: 50% of the total trip cost is retained.
20 to 8 Days before departure: 75% of the total trip cost is retained.
7 Days or less before departure (or No Show): 100% of the total trip cost is retained.
IMPORTANT: The "Refund Delay" Clause At 120 days prior to departure, FOA wires 100% of your funds to our partners in Africa to finalise your bookings. If you cancel after this 120-day mark and are owed a partial refund according to the brackets above, we can only process your refund once the funds have been successfully returned to us from Africa. This international transfer process can take up to 30 days.
Role of FOA & Supplier Insolvency: FOA acts solely as an agent/tour operator securing services from independent third-party ground handlers, including Vintage Africa Ltd trading as Sense of Africa (SOAEA). FOA is not liable for the negligence, financial default, or insolvency of these third-party suppliers. In the unlikely event of a supplier failure, clients must rely on comprehensive travel insurance for financial reimbursement.
Unforeseen Events : Our ground operator (SOAEA) strictly states they are not liable for any loss, damage, or trip curtailment caused by personal sickness, quarantine, weather conditions, war, or riots. Furthermore, no refunds will be granted if you must leave the tour early due to an accident or illness.
Because FOA is contractually bound by these terms, we cannot offer refunds from our own business accounts.
To protect your investment against cancellation and unforeseen events, comprehensive travel insurance is highly recommended.
We suggest you obtain insurance immediately upon paying this deposit. Your policy should cover cancellation and curtailment, overseas medical care, and emergency evacuation.
We highly recommend speaking to your insurance broker about coverage for Supplier Insolvency/Financial Default and potential cancellations related to government travel advice..
Travel Documents: It is your sole responsibility to ensure your passport is valid for travel, requiring at least 6 months validity beyond our return date, and that you meet all visa and health certificate requirements for the countries we will visit.
